I opened my practice in December of 1992, and will soon be celebrating 30 years in practice.

Tarrifs

I charge at medical aid rates and submit directly to medical aid on your behalf.

I do not charge for time taken but rather bill for modalities utilised.

My Book

Licensed Physiotherapist

I have written a book on Low Muscle Tone(LMT) after completing my master’s degree on this topic. This book is written for the Parent, Teacher and Therapist, it provides a step by step guide on how the diagnosis of LMT is made. The Physiotherapeutic management of this condition is fully discussed and exercise plans are included. The book is written in a manner that can easily be understood by everyone, Medical Professional or not.

My book is available for purchase from my practice for R100.

My Expertise

My special interests are in paediatrics, orthopaedics and neurological conditions, but I am also happy and comfortable treating any condition.

I pride myself on conducting  a thorough, half hour initial examination. This is followed by a course of effective treatment.

I try to use as few therapy sessions as possible to achieve recovery.

At the completion of treatment , ergonomic and postural advice is given and the patient is shown exercises and self-management techniques for prevention and maintenance.

"Pam Dawson has been conscientious and diligent in helping me with my back pain. I have found her to be very pleasant and professional. She has given me education, instructions and exercises for the management of my back condition which I have found to be extremely helpful."

Judith Whitaker

"I had a long association with Pam Dawson and was made to feel part of the family during this time. Due to the extent of my injuries I was left with an arm that did not function from the shoulder to the ends of the fingers. My proress back to a nearly normal range of movements was established due to Pam's hard work and dedication. It was a long haul but my progress was phenomenal."
